DRESSAGE AT LARGE
May 2005, Journal of the U.S. Dressage Federation (USDF)
DAL is happy to announce that it’s located a minor celebrity
who’s using dressage to make a difference in her community.
She’s Susan Springsteen, stock-market commentator on Philadelphia’s
newsradio station, KYW-AM, and a financial advisor with Morgan
Stanley. She’s also the proud lessor of FEI-level competitor
Melissa Taylor Yee’s (PA) school-master Dutch gelding,
Cidor.
Springsteen is on the board of Chester County Futures (www.ccfutures.org),
a nonprofit organization that provides mentoring and financial
assistance to low-income students in this southeastern Pennsylvania
county. To help raise money for CCF, Springsteen has established
a scholarship called the Cidor Fund. According to a news item
in the March 3 edition of The Philadelphia Inquirer, the first
Cidor Fund scholarship will be awarded this month.
